The Wagon Wheel Motel has a long history in Cloncurry. Formerly known as the Prince of Wales pub, it became the Wagon Wheel during the 1970s and has remained so ever since, with traces of its early life evident in the Prince of Wales emblem painted on the restaurant windows. The Wagon Wheel was taken over in 2001 by Andrea Lewis and Wayne Chivers, who brought with them extensive hospitality experience and a desire to provide great food and friendly service to the people of Cloncurry.

20 years on and Andrea and Wayne’s mission has remained the same, while the Wagon Wheel has served as a temporary home to thousands of visitors, as well as the go-to place in Cloncurry for delicious homemade pizzas and pasta, and classic Australian cuisine.
